The evening will be an opportunity to come together socially with your fellow members while we conduct the formalities of the association’s AGM.
In addition we will also have the pleasure of two presenters
- Dr Katja Hogendoorn from the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine at the University of Adelaide
- Find out how opening of net above the hive affects hive health, bee foraging behaviour and pollination. Hear exciting preliminary results about how far bees spread the pollen from pollinizer varieties, and the implications for orchard design under net.
- Peter Willmont – Project Manager, One Biosecurity Plant Health, Biosecurity SA, PIRSA
- Farm biosecurity plans to prevent spread of common and exotic pests. Current responses to pests, Exotic pest threats, Pest introduction and spread pathways and Practices to prevent introduction and spread.
